BIOGRAPHY

FIVE-STAR TODD is Todd Bank: an artist, inventor, and athlete.

Moreover, Five-Star Todd is a forward-thinking person who upcycles waste materials into wild artworks of all sizes. From 2017–2019, the cities of Los Angeles, Old Pasadena, and Culver City sponsored his giant landfill-mitigation art installations, and over 100,000 people attended these three exhibitions at various festivals. ABC Channel 7 News, the LA Times, and the LA Weekly have featured his artwork in their media publications and broadcasts.

Five-Star Todd also invents electric vehicles and systems that refuel them. His handheld battery-swapping system for electric scooters is used throughout China, Taiwan, India, and Europe. The Petersen Automotive Museum, the California Automotive Museum, and other automotive museums display his EVs or EV designs in their permanent collections. He is also the inventor of the Type 3 and Type 2.5 skibike; a gravity-propelled ski vehicle that snowsport enthusiasts ride at ski resorts during the wintertime.

In his free time, Five-Star Todd rides his road bike throughout the Santa Monica Mountains. Todd and his older brother, Devin, are featured in The Birth of BMX Freestyle: Volume 2 and Volume 3 as pioneers of the BMX Freestyle sport.
